Zexal due to copying and pasting between articles. So, to summerize, Photons are set to become one of the most versatile Xyz decks, with its capability to Xyz anything for any Rank, mostly with the help of Photon Satellite for levels that the Photons currently don’t have. This article's edit history is not complete. The Photon’s new sub-archetype, Galaxy, will ultimately give players new ways to Xyz summon some of the game’s most powerful monsters, be it Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, or any other popular Xyz monsters! Sadly, the chances of this pack, or its cards at the very least, have a slim chance of reaching the TCG front, so if you want any of these cards, let Konami know! Who knows? We at UDuelists may start a new Project petition… Project Galaxy! Photons have never got the attention it deserved, but with these new cards, it can make for a pretty formidable anti-meta deck. This new pack will inevitably boost the Photon archetype tremendously. Risky? Perhaps, but it can provide quite a few Xyz summon opportunities. Of course, it also prevents the monster from being destroyed by battle once by destroying Galaxy Zero, but if you do save your monster, its attack will drop to zero. Lastly, Galaxy Zero is an equip spell card that can special summon any Galaxy or Photon monster, but at the cost of negating its effect and preventing it from attacking.

Galaxy Wizard is a Level 4 monster that can increase its level by 4 once per turn, making it good for any Xyz summon from 4, 8, or even 12! Of course, if you don’t want to use it for its level modulation effect, you can tribute it (face-up) to add any Galaxy card to your hand, except for another Galaxy Wizard. Of course, if you have 2 of these monsters, it can make for a quick Rank 5 Xyz summon for cards such as Tiras, Keeper of Genesis, or Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon! Photon Slayer is a level 5 monster that can be special summoned in face-up defense position if you control an Xyz monster. Also, it allows you to send a Photon monster from your hand to your graveyard in order to add Kuriphoton back to your hand! It’s effect allows the user to discard it and pay 2000 life points, which then prevents any further damage done to the player, be it battle or effect. Kuriphoton is, as some might guess, probably a new Kuriboh card. Of course, you can utilize Photon Lead to special summon any Level 4 or lower Light-attribute monsters from your hand. Of course, if you do use it, you can’t normal summon any monsters that turn, and Accel Light can only be activated once per turn. Also, when it is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, you get to draw a card!Īccel Light is a new spell card that allows the user to special summon any level 4 or lower Photon or Galaxy monster if the user doesn’t have any monsters on the field. Dimension Wanderer will help out Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon-based decks, as when Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon uses its effect to banish a monster, you can discard Dimension Wanderer to deal 3000 effect damage to your opponent! Brilliant Photon Paradios is a brand new Photon Xyz monster that requires 2 Level 4 Light-attribute monsters to Xyz summon, and can make any monster your opponent controls in to 0 attack, but at a cost of 2 Xyz materials. Feelings Toward the Future can potentially give the user an instant Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, though Star Light, Star Bright would be highly recommended to normalize all of your monsters’ levels.įinally, there are quite a few cards that will debut in this new pack: Galaxy Zero, Galaxy Wizard, Kuriphoton, Dimension Wanderer, Brilliant Photon Paradios, Accel Light, and Photon Slayer. Some cards that recently debuted in the anime will also be included: Galaxy Knight, Galaxy Expedition, Photon Satellite, Photon Pirate, and Feelings Toward the Future! The first two cards, Galaxy Knight and Galaxy Expedition, will probably serve as a sub-archetype for Photons, as they are usually linked to Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon in some way.

Other older cards, such as Photon Crusher, Lumenize, and Photon Thrasher, have also been said to make an appearance. Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon will, naturally, be found in this set, as it is Kite’s signature cards. In either case, there are quite a few cards debuting in this upcoming duelist pack that are worth mentioning. There’s a bit of a slim chance that the upcoming Japanese duelist pack, Duelist Pack 13: Kite Tenjo, will release worldwide, considering that Konami has skipped Duelist Pack 12: Yuma Tsukumo for TCG release.
